"Oaxaca is the spiritual reserve of Mexico", because it is the depositary of the ancestral spirit force that comes from the very beginning of times and has been impregnated, not only in its monumental buildings, but primarily in the heart of the daily living of its people.

One of the oldest houses of culture in the country. It was founded in the year of 1971. It is located in the former convent of our Lady of the seven princes or Los Angeles.

In the year 2007 was inaugurated the Textile Museum of Oaxaca in what was part of the former convent of San Pablo dating back to the 16th century, but which suffered severe and consecutive damage by earthquakes that shake the city.

In the heart of the Sierra Norte of Oaxaca, there is a small town where the West Sierra Madre joins the Easter Sierra Madre, also known as "Mixtec knot".
